Mechanism-Guided Therapeutic Strategies


An exciting frontier in cancer treatment involves engineering the development of new cancer drugs and cancer treatment strategies based on knowledge of underlaying mechanisms of the origins and malignant progression of different forms of human cancer, leveraged by the advance of applicable technologies.  

EPFL has strength in basic and translational cancer research, both experimental and computational. There is also broad expertise in technology development and engineering applications of new and refined technologies.  Research groups aligned hereunder have track records and future promise to make instrumental contributions to the advance of knowledge about pathogenic mechanisms and to the translation of mechanistic principles toward better ways to treat, monitor and diagnose human tumors in different organs throughout the body.
